Free online bomb game

A simple web version of the bomb game in the PartyAt app. One square hides a real bomb — take turns tapping, pass the phone around, and whoever sets it off loses. It runs right in your browser, no install and no sign-up.

Board size

Tap a square — one of them hides the real bomb.

16 left

The PartyAt app adds a "someone hides the bomb" mode, custom safe/bomb images and player names — plus the rest of the party game collection.

How to play — rules

  1. Choose a board size and how the bomb's location gets decided — random draw, or one person sets it.
  2. If you chose "set it," the person placing the bomb secretly picks its real square without anyone else seeing.
  3. On your turn, pick one square. Safe, and that square disappears and play passes to the next player. Bomb, and it's a big explosion — you lose, and the round ends.
  4. Keep going, one square per turn, until someone hits the real bomb — everyone who never uncovered it stays safe.

How to win

Whoever picks the real bomb square loses. Everyone else stays safe when the round ends.

Tips & strategy

  • The smaller the board, the tenser the later turns get.
  • "Set it yourself" mode is all about the mind games with whoever planted the bomb.

FAQ

What board sizes can I choose?
Five sizes, from 9 to 49 squares (3×3 up to 7×7) — 16 squares is the default. The more squares on the board, the harder it is to hit the bomb.
If someone sets the bomb themselves, do they still get a turn?
No — whoever plants the bomb knows where it is, so they're excluded from taking a turn.
Is the turn order fixed?
No — the drawing order is randomized every round. You can also swap the safe/bomb icons (💣💥 by default) for any image you like.
Is the bomb game on this page free to play?
Yes — the bomb game runs right in your browser with no install and no sign-up, so you can play online for free as many rounds as you like. Pick a board size, pass the phone around, and tap.
