Bulls and Cows online — free number guessing game

A simple web version of Master Number from the PartyAt app. This page picks a secret number and answers every guess with hits (right digit, right place) and blows (right digit, wrong place). Crack it in as few guesses as you can — free, no install, works offline.

Digits

Guess the 3-digit number

    No guesses yet

The PartyAt app lets two players set each other a number and pass the phone, adds an option to allow repeated digits, and keeps score across rounds — plus the rest of the party game collection.

    Paano laruin

    1. Decide the number of digits, whether digits can repeat, and whether to use "open numbers" mode.
    2. The app automatically generates one Master Number that fits those settings.
    3. In turn order, each player guesses one number in turn.
    4. Each guess gets a hint back showing how many "Hits" and "Blows" it scored.
    5. Pass the turn to the next player and keep going, using everyone's hints, until someone guesses every digit correctly.

    Paano manalo

Whoever is first to guess every digit of the Master Number exactly right wins.

    Mga tip

    • Add up the Hits and Blows you've received to work out how many of the digits you've found actually belong in the answer.
    • Everyone can see the previous players' guesses and hints too, so use them as clues even on someone else's turn.

    Mga madalas itanong

What exactly do "Hit" and "Blow" mean?
A Hit (H) is a digit that's both the right number and in the right position. A Blow (B) is a digit that's correct but in the wrong position (the count is calculated correctly even when a digit repeats).
Is there a time limit per turn?
Yes — each player gets 60 seconds. If time runs out, that turn's guess isn't recorded and play moves to the next player.
What are the default settings, and can I change them?
By default it's 4 digits, no repeated digits, and open numbers off. You can change the digit count to 3–5, and turn digit repeats or open numbers on if you like.
What does "open numbers" mode do?
Each player starts already knowing one correct digit of the answer (a different position for each player). Since that means the screen briefly shows something the other players shouldn't see, the app pauses between turns so everyone can make sure they're not peeking before the next player's digit is shown.
