Twenty Questions
Yes/no questions crack the secret.
One player thinks of something; the rest narrow it down with yes-or-no questions until someone nails it.
Play 20 Questions online free — question sheet and topic pack
The Twenty Questions board from the PartyAt app — the classic guessing game, online and free. One player takes a secret subject — tap for a random one or type your own — and everyone else asks yes/no questions. The host marks each answer, the sheet keeps the log, and the subject stays blurred until you open it. Free, no install, and it works offline.
Solved! The guess was right.
Tap a chip to mark it YES, NO or ???.
The PartyAt app adds the full topic pack, player names so the sheet shows who asked, and dozens of other party games for one phone.
Como jogar
- Pick one player to be the question-setter. They choose a topic (a word) without anyone else seeing it — either thinking one up themselves or letting the app suggest one.
- Agree as a group on how questions will be asked — taking turns in order, or anyone jumping in when they think of one — then start the question round.
- Players throw yes/no questions at the question-setter, and each one gets recorded.
- For each question, the question-setter answers "YES," "NO," or "???" (can't say either way).
- Once you think you know the answer, throw out a word as your "guess" instead of a question. If the question-setter marks it YES, you've got it right and you win.
Como ganhar
Whoever is first to correctly name the topic wins. There's no automatic judging — it comes down to the question-setter marking a guessed word YES. There's no cap on questions or time, so you can keep going until everyone's satisfied.
Dicas
- Start with broad narrowing questions like "is it alive?" or "is it a tool?" before zooming in on specifics.
- Use "???" well — a bit of ambiguity keeps the clues fun without giving too much away.
Perguntas frequentes
- Is there really a 20-question limit, like the name suggests?
- No — despite the name, this app puts no cap on the number of questions or on time. Keep going until everyone is ready to guess.
- What does the "???" answer mean?
- It means the question-setter can't answer with a clear yes or no — it's an allowed third option alongside YES and NO.
- How many questions and answers are kept on screen?
- Up to 200 entries — past that, the oldest ones drop off to make room for new ones.
- Is there a character limit on the topic or the questions?
- Yes — the topic word can be 1–10 characters, and each question or guess can be 1–30 characters.
